About the Application Process

Step 1) Review this website to find out about the Girls in the Wild (GITW) Retreats.

Step 2) Check dates of Retreats for your age. Mark your calendar for Orientation
and your Retreat.

2010 Summer Girls in the Wild Retreat Dates

Sunlight Retreat July 24-31 (15-18 year olds)
Orientation date July 21

Moonlight Retreat June 19-25 (13-14 year olds)
Orientation date June 16

Starlight Retreat August 17-20 (11-12 year olds)
Orientation date August 16

ORIENTATION IS REQUIRED (AND FUN!) for girls and moms (or female elder)

Step 3) Complete the application (a pdf file) or download the Microsoft Word version and check box to apply for scholarships, if needed.

Step 4) Send fully completed application to Red Tent at the address provided or email to dawn@redtentcommunity.org

Step 5) GITW Staff will call you to arrange an interview with you and your mother (or female elder.) Purpose of the interview is to assure that the program is a good fit for you at this time in your life. Financial aid opportunities will be discussed during this time, if requested.

Step 6) Upon acceptance, you will receive an information packet complete with medical form, packing list, map, payment details, and other important information.

Step 7) Follow the payment schedule as outlined in your packet.
